It turns out I was the only person on the planet who did not know HOW FUN SPARKLERS ARE! Thank goodness I finally made it to Guatemala for the holidays where they set me straight in a big way with their crazy waving of estrellitas all over the place. And not just on New Years either. Oh no, my naive American friends. Also on Christmas. And Christmas Eve. And Christmas Eve Eve! And Tuesday! And before breakfast! And to cook wienies! But more talk of international travel later.
