yes, heads probably ARE exploding

Two posts in one day!

I'm not going to apologize.

This one's not, honestly, much of a post. It's mainly pictures. And not pictures of my innocent plant-babies, but pictures of taller, scarier plants, some of which are dead and some of which aren't actually plants at all.

That second one, there? That's a prehistoric petroglyph. It represents either a sun or sea life or possibly someone's head exploding as a result of me posting twice in one day.

The last picture I call, "Skeleton of saguaro with tree branch".

The Guatemalan and I took a walk in the desert on Monday. It's been a long time since I've gone on a desert walk for fun (as opposed to work). It was a beautiful, cloudy day, and the air smelled sweet and damp and earthy, and the only reason we went back to the car is because we were craving cheeseburgers, and there are some cravings you just can't work around.

It is this type of observation that sets your writing apart. In such a good way.

Ha! The feeling is obviously mutual.
